Raster Artwork

My raster based artworks and designs.

You are being watched.jpg

You are being Watched

An imaginary concept. We see a giant figure overlooking a hanging settlement located in an imaginary domain. A yellow-coloured TV perched at the top displays 'You are being watched'. This is to remind the citizens that however 'free' they feel they may be, no one is actually 'free' in the truest sense and that they are always under the scanner. Our every action will be judged and every movement kept track off. This mental imprisonment is not so explicitly visible in modern society and with time is becoming more vague, psychological and dispersed.

Tony Montana.jpg

Tony Montana

This artwork is my visualization of the song "Tony Montana" by artist, Agust-D (Suga of BTS). The song is a reference to the main protagonist of the film, Scarface (1983). In the movie, Tony builds a strong drug empire in Miami. However, as his power begins to grow so does his greed and ego. Suga here talks about how he think he feels like Tony Montana and tries to prevent himself from being consumed by the greed for money and success. The character in the right is meant to be Suga who is trying to take down and defeat other temptations and demons represented by a vaguely accurately drawn Tony Montana on the left. The rising tentacles can be representative of the inner demons - which consume both Tony and Suga. Suga in spite of being in pain and agony will fight back at any cost - to protect his sanity and inner true self.

This artwork need not be restricted to depict the song "Tony Montana" specifically. The pain that Suga is seen to be in can be of any form. And the tentacles and the character in the left could denote any evil force. Whatever the evil may be, it is Suga's power of resistance in his pain that I wanted to depict.

Ubermensch.jpg

Ubermensch

A physical visualization of german philosopher, Friedrich Nietzsche's concept of the Ubermensch (The Superman).

The holiest of all sanctuaries is our own body and being. And we should worship and take utmost care of it and work towards reaching our maximum potential.

HypaJongol.jpg

HypaJongol

Just an imaginary concept - A jungle with weird flora and fauna.

The Pipelines.jpg

The Pipelines

A yellow dimension characterised by stuck-out tongues and Coca-Cola being delivered by pipes to homes floating on a piece of rock? Most of my drawings really make no sense. So deriving a meaning is left to the liberty of the audience.

Esha 55.jpg

Esha 55

One day I decided to make a female robot. This is based on my sister.

bubble gum limbo.jpg

Subjects in a Bubble Gum Limbo

All float in the same dimension. But different people react differently. Some are apathetic, some are scared and some just go with the flow and enjoy. This dimension is bubbly and visually meant to be far from intimidating. However, a sense of confusion is still abound. For at the end of the day, however one accepts his or her existence in this dimension, they do not know why they are here and maybe it is this question and awareness that disturbs them more.

The Artist.jpg

The Singer

An artwork that attempts to throw light on the dark personal lives of most famous personalities.

Reflections - Nittfest.jpg

Reflections

This artwork was actually submitted as a part of a T-shirt designing competition that was held in our college for which we attained the first prize. The topic given was "Reflections". The competiton was inter-departmental and I and a few others participated on behalf of the Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) Dept. Although I did the main artwork, I and all my teammates, contributed in pumping in ideas for the design.

Here's a description that my senior, Pavan Bhushan penned down (the write-up also had to be submitted) - "The left of the design expresses the retro age of technology, with a man representing the visionaries of that time, and a few devices floating around representing the then technology. The design on the right shows a humanoid robot, along with a few devices symbolizing the current world technological advancements. The man and the robot appear to be looking at each other through a surface which can be considered a mirror. Each device shown on the left side has a corresponding current day replacement on the right side: the old computer monitor - the tablet; the floppy disks - cloud storage; books (source of knowledge) - the Internet; the old model mobile phone - a present day smartphone. Both the designs can be combined together to show that the visionary looks into the future at the evolution of the technology, as the present day technology looks back, reflecting on its past and relishing its origins."

HypaMonsta - Red.jpg

HypaMonsta

A big, multi-eyed, selfie obsessed, red-lipped, three-headed creature riding a monster truck with deadly spikes in the front. I guess he runs on Coca Cola and is accompanied by a learned creature perched on her head.

I have no idea. I really have nothing to say.

Floating Village.jpg

The Floating Village

Another imaginary concept. It shows me pouring some magical water on this green piece of rock and keeping it fresh, green and alive.

Another product of one of those occasions when I am totally bored and let my brain go wild. I myself seriously fail to understand this one, let alone explain it.

"M*therfucker!"
